Casino in Hokkaido and access

For Hokkaido, they’ve anticipated targeting tourists mainly from Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan by Sapporo city, Otaru city and Kushiro city, as of 2018 so far, three local governments Tomakomai city, Kushiro city and Rusutsu village are putting their hands up to having IR attracting.

Those casino resorts considering attracting tourists are all aiming to integrate resorts with hotels, shopping malls, multicultural restaurants, a casino and business facility (meeting room and event halls) and especially Tomakomai which is close to New Chitose Airport where many foreign tourists come is thought and estimated to be the most economically effective.

● How to get there 1 (to central Tomakomai)
・It takes about one hour from Chitose Airport station to Minami Chitose station on JR airport (going to Sapporo).
・It takes about one hour from Chitose Airport station (JAL) to Tomakomai station bus terminal (final destination) on the New Chitose Airport line.
 
● How to get there 2 (to central Tomakomai)
1. It takes about three minutes from bus stop number 2 of Chitose Airport domestic to Tomakomai station by Donan bus 30 on the Chitose Airport line.
2. It takes about 20 minutes from Minami Chitose to Tomakomai station on the Suzuran or Chitose line (going to Tomakomai).

● How to get there 1 (from Memanbetsu Airport)
1. It takes about 30 minutes from Memanbetsu Airport to Abashiri station front using the Abashiri bus.
2. It takes about one hour and 45 minutes from Abashiri station to Mashu station on JR Hokkaido, or it takes about two hours to Kawayu-Onsen station.
3. It takes about 10 minutes from Kawayu-Onsen station to the front of Kawayu Museum Centeron by Akan bus.
 
● How to get there 2 (from Kushiro Airport)
・It takes about an hour and 10 minutes from Kushiro Airport to Lake Akan bus center on the Akan bus.
 
● How to get there 3 (from Kushiro station)
・It takes about an hour and 15 minutes from Kushiro station to Machu station on the JR Senmo main line.
・It takes about an hour and 35 minutes from Kushiro station to Kawayu-Onsen station on the Senmo main line.
 
● How to get there 4 (from Kushiro station)
1. It takes about three hours from Kushiro station to Abashiri station on the JR express Shiretoko.
2. It takes about an hour and 45 minutes from Abashiri station to Machu station on JR Hokkaido, or about two hours to Kawayu-Onsen station.
3. It takes about 10 minutes from Kawayu-Onsen station to the front of Kawayu Museum Center on the Akan bus.
